John is a retired actor who has lived with his wife Margaret for the past 50 years, he claims that it is wedded bliss which has made most happy. He has played many roles on both stage and television, though his biggest claim to fame is to have appeared in the very first series of Doctor Who. He also appeared in, The Life of Brian and the 118 advertisements.

At the time I met John he was in the advanced stages of Parkinson's disease, a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that impaired his motor skills, speech and other functions.
Very sadly John died in January this year, he struck me as a very kind and wonderful man and I'm extremely pleased that I met him when I did.
